Captain Hackbarths Atlantiküberquerung

BERTRAND Food is supporting Hamburg sailor Axel Hackbarth on a long and exciting journey. Captain Hackbarth has left his home port in Hamburg to take on the adventure of crossing the Atlantic. As part of his preparations, he is relying, among other things, on several kilos of BERTRAND, which fit aboard his boat. We report on his journey in this blog.

Nutrition on sailing trips

Nutrition on sailing tripsAxel Hackbarth will cross the Atlantic alone in his sailboat “Zest” to reach the Caribbean. One of the greatest challenges of crossing the Atlantic is that he cannot sleep for longer than 30 minutes at a time, because other large ships could collide with his sailboat.

The Captain is currently on Portugal's southern coast, from where he will set off toward Madeira at the end of the month. From there, the journey will begin toward its final destination at the end of December. So things are about to get exciting. Team BERTRAND is following along and reporting here.
