All new customers receive our shaker automatically and free of charge with their first order of at least one of our Day-Pouches. Please do not add extra shakers to the cart unless you want to purchase additional shakers.
We offer our shakers at an affordable price in the shop. All shakers also include the handy spiral ball that swirls through the mixture when shaken, ensuring a lump-free experience.

Yes, our shaker is BPA-free. The shaker is made from Tritan by Eastman Chemicals, which is not only BPA-free but also free from substances with estrogenic activity. 1. We sell our product in two packaging formats. Our pouches: These contain 500–586 g of powder depending on the variant. Three to four meals can be made from these pouches, using our shaker.
2. Green Bottle: This bottle is made from renewable raw materials and contains 125 g of powder. This is roughly equivalent to one meal if the pouch were divided into four meals.

The certification means that we subject our actions to rules derived from the EU Organic Regulation. For our product, this primarily means that we use ingredients from certified organic farming. Additionally, we do not use synthetic vitamins or minerals, which makes the composition of BERTRAND so complex. All vitamins and minerals come from real foods such as nuts, fruits, or grains. For the customer, this has the advantage that they also consume all nutrients that are beneficial to the body – but have not yet been classified as essential by science. With BERTRAND vegan, we have a version that is completely free of ingredients of animal origin. Both the classic and the active variants contain milk powder but are, of course, vegetarian. Our product is also certified organic according to European standards, so the dairy cows are naturally raised and fed only in organic farming.

We take our product safety very seriously. The entire supply chain, from ingredient selection to shipping, is governed by an internal management manual. This includes ensuring that only trained professionals (e.g., food technology specialists) are responsible for the production of our product.
Our company is also regularly and unannounced inspected by at least two independent bodies in all areas of the business. The food safety and hygiene are overseen by the food control authority of the Soest district. The organic quality of the ingredients is monitored by the independent certification body ABCert.

BERTRAND does not contain any ingredients that are unsuitable for teenagers. However, long-term and exclusive use of our product as a sole source of nutrition should only be done in consultation with a doctor, just as with adults.

Yes, of course. BERTRAND is used by athletes worldwide to prepare for competitions, as well as after sports to replenish nutrients. Our active version with a high protein content is especially suitable for this.

Keep cool and dry. If BERTRAND is protected from direct sunlight and stored in a cool place, it remains edible long after the best-before date. The best-before date does not indicate the day BERTRAND becomes inedible. We cannot provide an exact timeframe for an opened and resealed package. However, if the zipper is properly closed again and the package is, for example, placed in the refrigerator, the powder will remain edible for a very long time.

We use only natural foods, and our product is certified according to the standards of organic farming.

Yes, all products from our company are gluten-free. We operate according to the cross-border recognized AOECS standard and have included gluten as a contaminant in the risk assessment of our HACCP system.
We source the oats for our product from a Demeter project that guarantees gluten-free oats. For independent analysis of our product, we have commissioned the Intertek Institute in Bremen. Intertek will conduct follow-up inspections at regular intervals.

The allergens in our product are highlighted in bold in the ingredients (see above). Additionally, we have conducted tests for histamines, which can be found here.

Unfortunately, our production process does not allow for omitting or adding certain ingredients. Therefore, we are currently unable to offer a specially customized version.

Some of the vitamins and minerals in BERTRAND exceed the recommended guidelines, sometimes significantly. This is completely natural, as cereal plants like oats do not adhere to nutrient recommendations. Since we do not exceed the daily recommended maximum or TUL (tolerable upper limit) for any nutrient, this exceeding of minimum requirements naturally does not pose any disadvantage.

The subscription savings plan is an optional offer. The placed order will be repeated every 1–6 weeks when opting for the subscription savings plan.

As a customer, you can set the delivery interval weekly yourself. We show the date of the next delivery directly in the shopping cart when placing the order.

For customers who choose the subscription savings plan, we grant a product-related discount of 5%.

No. The subscription discount can currently be applied to our BERTRAND bags, the BERTRAND Green Bottle, and the FlavorPacks.

Items from the Stuff & Co. category cannot be included in the subscription discount. Seasonal BERTRAND products or limited editions also cannot be ordered as a subscription discount. In this case, you will receive a notification in the shopping cart.

No, that is not possible at the moment. However, you can cancel your current savings subscription at any time and sign up for a new savings subscription of your choice.

No. You can cancel the subscription at any time in your customer account. However, the cancellation should be made no later than before the next scheduled order.

We reserve the right to cancel the subscription on our end if our stock is insufficient to fulfill the subscription due to product changes or sellouts.

Currently, the savings subscription can be paid with PayPal, credit card, or SEPA direct debit. You grant us a direct debit mandate during the ordering process.

We will inform you before the next charge with a pre-notification. You can still cancel the savings subscription at that time.

We usually ship with DHL. For orders outside Germany, DHL will hand over the package to the respective national postal service. Upon request, we can also ship with UPS, Hermes, or DPD. However, for orders outside Germany, this may result in higher shipping costs, so please send a brief inquiry to hey@bertrand.bio in advance.

Yes, we do. However, shipping costs and possibly import duties may apply outside the EU. Shipping costs are shown during the ordering process. For any potential customs fees, please contact your local customs office.

Please do not do this! If there is a valid reason, for orders within Germany the package will be sent back to us and we will contact you. A redelivery or cancellation of the order is then possible free of charge.

If the package is refused outside of Germany, redelivery is possible. However, in case of cancellation, we have to deduct the return shipping costs from the refund.

Yes, of course. With the first scan at the distribution center, an email is triggered that provides you with the tracking information.

We can deliver to DHL parcel stations. Please provide your postal number during the order to ensure everything goes smoothly. Whether postboxes outside of Germany can be served depends on the provider and the size of your postbox. Please check this in advance with our support team.
