Last Minute Cake for Valentine’s Day

Delicious meals that sound elaborate but are very simple and to which BERTRAND adds a wonderful flavor!

Still no idea what to do for your loved one on Valentine’s Day? Then we have a last minute recipe for a delicious and juicy cake for Valentine’s Day. We used a heart shape for the occasion, but of course a normal round or square shape works too. The cake is super quick in not even an hour, and who can say no to chocolate and strawberries?
Even if you don’t have a partner with whom you can celebrate Valentine’s Day or you don’t want to celebrate it, you can of course still bake our cake. Then it’s ideal that you have even more of it. Either way, BERTRAND wishes you a nice February 14th!

Last Minute Cake for Valentine's Day

  • 50 gr BERTRAND classic natur
  • 150 ml oat milk
  • 150 gr Agave
  • 3 eggs
  • 50 ml Sunflower oil
  • 150 gr flour
  • 1 sachet baking powder
  • 20 gr vanilla powder
  • 100 gr dark chocolate
  • 100 gr milk chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon of Whoopsy! Cocoa powder
  • 150 gr butter at room temperature
  • 100 gr cream cheese
  • 2-3 teaspoons of Whoopsy! Strawberry powder
  • 5-6 drops of vanilla extract
  • 150 gr icing sugar

Whisk the agave with the eggs in a bowl for 3-4 minutes.

Add 100 ml of milk and oil and stir the mixture. Then fold in the flour, BERTRAND, baking powder and vanilla powder and mix with a beater or hand mixer.

Chop or break chocolate into small pieces. Add the Whoopsy! Put the cocoa powder in the bowl and stir the dough together. Then brush the form sufficiently with butter.

Put the dough in the mold and bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

For the topping: Mix 150 g room temperature butter with 100 g cream cheese until a creamy mass is formed. Whoopsy! Add the strawberry powder and the vanilla extract, mix again and then add the powdered sugar and the remaining oat milk to the mixture. Mix well with the mixer.

Take the cake out of the oven, let it cool briefly, brush with the topping and enjoy. If you want, you can also decorate the cake, for example with the Whoopsy! Strawberry Slices. Happy Valentine's Day!

Whether Valentine’s Day cards like in the USA, homemade chocolate in Japan, or flowers and chocolates in Western Europe. In Finland, for example, February 14 is celebrated as Friend’s Day, when you send cards or give small gifts to people you like. The origin of Valentine’s Day probably goes back to Saint Valentine of Terni, who married soldiers in the 3rd century who were forbidden to marry before the war.
