More Information

First, put the butter and sugar in a bowl and start mixing. Instead of the usual industrial sugar, you can also use xylitol or erythritol.

Then add the eggs, but not all at once. Mix one more round after each egg so that everything is well blended.

Then the dry ingredients – the flour, BERTRAND, a pinch of salt and the baking powder – are mixed together and mixed into the rest of the dough in the next step.

The finishing flag is in sight: slowly stir in the milk or vegetable alternative and your dough is ready.

Now the waffle iron comes into play. Spread some of the batter on it and after a short time you can enjoy your waffles! Before that, you can add toppings and fruit of your choice to your heart’s content.

Did you know?

Did you know that waffles have been enjoyed in Europe for centuries? Via France and Belgium, waffles made their way across the continent. There are regional differences in recipe, naming and shape, but they are all made in the same way, with a waffle iron. The first of these even existed in the 9th century. What didn't exist back then: Waffles in combination with BERTRAND, so that you get all the important nutrients and it is also really delicious!
