Whether it’s a delicious smoothie bowl, healthy fruit bars, or tasty pancakes, (almost) anything is possible with BERTRAND. Even baking your own bread. To prove it to you, we’ll now be regularly sharing a few delicious recipes on our YouTube channel. Delicious meals that sound elaborate but are actually very simple, with BERTRAND adding a wonderful flavor!

Baking your own bread may sound like a challenge at first. But with our recipe, you can easily prepare a delicious nut bread with BERTRAND. All you need is an ovenproof dish with a lid that is large enough for your bread. It does require a little waiting, but isn’t freshly baked bread worth it? For example, with a delicious Sunday brunch, as a packed lunch at work, or as a classic dinner. Our nut bread goes well with everything. It also has a pleasant side effect: while it slowly bakes in the oven, it fills the air with a wonderful aroma. And thanks to the nuts and BERTRAND, this bread is genuinely healthy and keeps you full for a long time.

Ingredients for the Nut Bread with BERTRAND

  • 440 g spelt flour
  • 180 g BERTRAND
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 150 g whole hazelnuts
  • 450 ml malt beer
  • Margarine for spreading

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then add the malt beer.

  2. Mix the dough using the dough hooks of your stand mixer or hand mixer.

  3. After mixing the ingredients into a smooth dough, grease your ovenproof dish with margarine. Place the bread dough in the dish and pour 50 ml of water onto the surface of the dough.

  4. Then bake the bread at 200 degrees with the lid on for 35–40 minutes. Finally, bake it for 15 minutes without the lid.

  5. Take the bread out of the oven, let it cool, and then enjoy it, for example, with some avocado cream!
