Rob Rhinehart imagined never having to eat again when the programmer from the USA created Soylent, the first all-in-one nutritional drink. Rob Rhinehart’s Soylent is currently not available in Germany. However, there are numerous imitators on the market offering their own versions of Soylent. The catch with all these drinks, however, is that until now there has been no certified organic complete-nutrition powder—or rather, there hadn’t been!
BERTRAND, Germany’s organic Soylent.
You could call it that! The concept is the same for both nutritional powders: they are powdered foods that, on their own, meet scientific nutritional recommendations. Unlike Soylent, however, BERTRAND is a certified organic product, meaning that all vitamins and minerals come from natural foods. Natural vitamins and minerals
What is the advantage of vitamins and minerals coming from natural sources, unlike Soylent? One might think that it makes no difference to the body whether the calcium comes from almonds, flaxseeds, or milk, for example, or whether it is synthesized calcium. However, minerals have different levels of bioavailability. To the body, it does make a difference whether the calcium is present as a “rough lump” that cannot be absorbed even after hours of processing, or as a “smooth stone” that is quickly available.
