Following several inquiries submitted to our support team, we investigated whether a diet containing BERTRAND is suitable for an “alkaline diet.” To do so, we used the individual ingredients as well as a laboratory analysis by our food technology laboratory, INTERTEK.
An alkaline diet is intended to provide people with easily absorbable alkaline minerals as well as all the nutrients and vital substances the body needs. At the same time, an alkaline diet is intended to spare people all those acidic metabolic residues that arise during digestion in the body. In this way, the acid-base balance is intended to be harmonized so that the correct and healthy pH value can be restored throughout the body. However, there is no scientifically recognized evidence for the theory of acidosis.
The laboratory analyses of our products to determine their pH value show a largely neutral result.

However, an alkaline diet largely disregards the pH value of foods. You can find out more in this article.
In an alkaline diet, foods are divided into categories indicating whether they are more alkaline-forming or acid-forming. There is also a distinction between good and poor acid-forming ingredients. Our ingredients can be categorized as follows.
The ingredients in our vegan version are very well suited to integrating our product into an alkaline diet. It is also possible to integrate our classic and active versions; however, due to the dairy products they contain, this should be limited to individual meals.
