What better symbolizes autumn than glowing pumpkins? The colorful plants are not only beautiful to look at, but also very versatile in the kitchen. Today we devote ourselves to a tasty smoothie bowl with pumpkin and autumn spices. You can enjoy the bowl for breakfast, as a quick lunch, or in the evening comfortably in front of the TV.
- Servings: 1
- Duration: 10-15 min
- Difficulty: easy
- 1/2 cup BERTRAND
- 1/2 cup Milk (or a plant alternative)
- 2 Bananas
- 3 tsp pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp peanut butter
- 3 tsp clove powder
- 4 tsp ginger
- 4 teaspoons nutmeg
- 4 tsp cinnamon
- For topping: muesli, coconut yoghurt and coconut flakes
Cut the bananas into small pieces and put them together with the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, BERTRAND and vegetable milk in a mixer.
Now it's time for the Pumpkin Spice: Mix ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in a bowl.
Add a teaspoon of the spice to the mixture in the mixer and mix your smoothie.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl, decorate with muesli, coconut yoghurt and grated coconut and enjoy.
Did you know that?
Pumpkin puree can now be bought in many countries, but doing it yourself is almost as easy: just halve any pumpkin (for example, Hokkaido, because it doesn’t need to be peeled), remove the seeds and pulp and then cut into small pieces. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the pumpkin becomes soft and then puree. The rest of the pumpkin puree will also freeze very well or it can be used for pumpkin soup. It’s also a good idea to set aside some of the puree and the homemade Pumpkin Spice seasoning for our next recipe.
